Seascape 2nd Anniversary Recap

Updated: Apr 14, 2023

Seascape's 2nd Anniversary Livestream was a resounding success! The entire Seascape community gathered together to celebrate two years of progress and growth, and to look ahead to the future. During the stream, the team shared exciting updates and plans for the coming year, including new programs, campaigns, and projects. In this recap article, we'll be covering all of the key highlights and takeaways from the event.

The 2nd anniversary livestream covered a lot of ground, including a look back at Seascape's achievements thus far and an overview of ongoing partner campaigns. The first section of the stream was dedicated to discussing Seascape's accomplishments and ongoing initiatives, as well as the introduction of a new Anniversary NFT series. The highlight of the section was the reveal of Seascape DAO, Seascape's new governance program, which will be the subject of its own dedicated article in the near future.

In the following section, we spoke with Seascape’s own tech wizard Medet Ahmetson about Seascape’s recent technological advances, which included an overview of the complexities of our smart contracts, and the introduction to Seascape Development Services, how it has been employed in the construction of more complicated projects like BLOCKLORDS, and the future of what we plan to provide to the wider Web3 community. Our smart contracts are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, being combined one by one like lego bricks. Now with many cross-chain projects under our belts, we are moving forward into ever more complicated territory.

Next up, we had a visit from Erlan who gave us updates on Moonscape and what we can expect into the future. The latest version of Moonscape is set to introduce exciting new features that will enhance the overall gaming experience. These features include new functionality for the MSCP token, the addition of Moondust for premium functions, the option to mint cities or rovers as NFTs, and multichain NFT pools. The game play will now also impact gaming outcomes, with the introduction of higher level rovers. Additionally, there are new gameplay aspects that will be revealed in the coming season. All these new features promise to make Moonscape a more dynamic and engaging experience for players.

In the following section, we spoke with COO Nicky Li, who discussed the overall architecture of the Seascape ecosystem. Among our current projects, Mini Miners stood out the strongest. In the latest version of Mini Miners, you will be able to hire a manager to optimize your operations, trade the gold you've mined for CWS, and convert CWS into the premium currency Diamonds. You will also have the option to instantly purchase and unlock new miners using Diamonds, as well as unlocking new pets to guard your community. These features will enhance the gameplay experience and offer more options for players to progress and thrive in the game.

Finally, in the last section, we met with CEO David Johansson who went over real life actual pre alpha game play for BLOCKLORDS seen for the very first time by the outside world. While the depth and breadth of the ordeal is too exhaustive for this article, here are a few highlights to keep in mind: BLOCKLORDS features 11 different types of buildings, 7 different types of Squads with varying collection abilities, and 16 different Command types for a variety of tasks. The game is also working on introducing specialized resource characters such as Hunters, Miners, and Builders, as well as new farming heroes to boost your squad's skills.

He also briefly discussed the roadmap for the year, which includes several updates, new games, implementations and upgrades to the Governance system, and more and more opportunities for CWS hodlers to be on the ground floor for new updates, functions, programs, and campaigns going forward.

There’s a whole lot more going on this nearly two hour anniversary special, far more than we have space to cover. If you have any further questions, just ask us on our socials for any clarifications about sections you may not have fully understood. We’ll have a number of articles in the coming days and weeks elaborating on topics that were covered. Also, pay attention to our social media for more clips and highlights!
